TK was a speaker at the Epic: Honoring Young Leaders with Ability event on Saturday, May 6th. You would have been so proud of how he spoke of why he found being a leader in service of others was important to him and others. He was inspiring the new Service Warriors and being formally identified as the Service Warrior team leader. He was AWESOME!
You have a great public speaker and leader among your student body. His teacher Patricia was also present in support.”

Tyrell Kizzie (TK) and Davante Gourdine graduated from the EPIC Service Warrior Program. Empowering People for Inclusive Communities (EPIC) prepares young people with disabilities to be actively engaged community leaders through education, leadership development and community service. From April – March, TK and Davante engaged in over 100 hours of community service in
Boston, thus contributing a significant impact on their community.
At the ceremony, TK impressed everyone with a moving and entertaining speech that represented the Service Warriors and exemplified his engaging and humorous personality. TK and Davante’s families attended this event to support these amazing students and Dr. Karla Estrada, Academic & Student Support Deputy Superintendent, the keynote speaker, is now the newest TK fan!.
